Tint amounts

Hey all,

I am going to be adding tint to my 2009 GG GTS as soon as I can come up with some cash. I am planning on having it done professionally but I can't decide what amount to go for. I just have a few questions/requests for all of you.

1) Would you suggest same tint on front/rear/back or multiple levels?

2) I would like to stay within the legal limit just to avoid any hassles (35% all around for oregon) but I am not sure this is dark enough for me. Does anyone have any good pictures of tint between ~28% - 35%?

3) I would appreciate any other recommendations/tips you have for me.

Thanks!

If you add me to myspace, www.myspace.com/fuze49, you can see pics of my car with (I think) 10% on the back and 15% on the front. Maybe its 15% back and 20% front. Not super sure thought but its one of those 2.

The stock glass is already the legal limit of 70%

Best to have 5-10% in the back and 40% on the 4 doors. Makes it classy and less sucpious for the cops. The darker rear window will make the sides look darker.

Legal limit for Las Vegas is 10%. Anything darker is considered Limo tint and only allowed on limo cars and personal escort services (not the hooker kind, the personal driver for famous people kind)

I think mine is 33% so yours would be similar to this...

As for tips just get one with a lifetime warranty, I have a little piece that is coming off of the window. When I get around to taking it in it will be fixed for free...

Now that amount looks just about perfect for what I want but I know that sometimes pictures can be deceptive (depending on the angle). How easy is it to see the driver or see inside the car on a sunny day? Do you have any direct side shots of the windows? Thanks.

On a sunny day, people will be able to see inside the car but not realy be able to see details very well. At night they will mainly be able to make out if you are male or female and maybe see your face depending on the lights inside the car, or street lights outside.

I always go 20. Always have and always will. Its dark but not TOOOO dark IMO. The cops beg to differ though. lol

Anything less than 15% is too dark. My buddy did 5% all around (except windshield) in his SRT and the thing is like undriveable at night. You cant see a dang thing. lol

Wasting the money on like 40/50% is pointless I think.

This was 20% all around on my car.

Hope this helps you make your decision.

Okay I pulled out my info from when I had it done. My front side windows are 35% and my back sides and rear are 20%...

Looking in with the sun shining right on the window, it normal is alot darker but I took these about 2:30 in the afternoon so the sun is shining right on the side of the car.

Rear at 20%

and this is from inside basically 35% vs. windshield

Hope that helps! It looks nice, and it really helps with heat in the summer. It was about 109 outside when I took these haha so keeping the heat out is important to me :P

I have 35% on the front, and 15% on the rears on a 2008 GG GTS. I don't seem to have any pics of my car at the office. I'll see if I can find some time to post a couple after I get home.
