10 sec 4g93

I have seen this car a long time ago but i'm not sure if most people on here has. This is a 10 sec 4g93 mirage with 550 hp running 30 psi and nos i'm just wondering why no lancer has hit that hp/10 sec mark? I know this is a 2dr car but does it really matter i mean our displacement is bigger parts should be available to make this kind of power for our cars just wondering why no one has done it yet feel free to correct me if i'm wrong guys let's hear all the input we can on this. Peace!!

Our lancers can't really hit those high numbers because the 4g94 isn't as capable as the 4g93 and many people dont see it being that worth it to bring an econobox to such a high hp. Might as well get an evo if your aiming for that kind of power and also puerto ricans do wonders with cars I think it might be the air over there lol. Werent they one of the first ones that brought the fastest evo X? Anyways I dont see why people would dump so much money into there lancer when at that point in time it might be a better idea to switch to a different platform to get more out of their money.

Our Lancers are a sell away from having an EVO. That's why you don't see anyone with those numbers. Give it time though. As these cars get cheaper, you'll see bigger hp and lower drag numbers out of them.

The 4G94 can't handle the boost numbers of the 4G93 and it can't rev as high thus the HP numbers are lower.

everyone says its not worth it because the lancer is an econobox
isnt a mirage the same thing? the mirage isnt anything nicer and it seems to have about the same stock HP(IIRC)
just my opinion

Of course, but if everyone thought that, there wouldn't have ever been a 10 second mirage and there certainly wouldn't have been a RRM built beast upping the bar and paving the way for others.

Some cars just attract tuners for various reasons. Civics are very popular but I rarely see fully modded Preludes. People mod RX-7s to the gills but no one seems to touch Proteges.

if we want the 4g94 can do wonders and we're seeing it happen, enough with this negativity...we can do a lot to our cars

The 4G94 is capable but at what cost? The average person doesn't want to drop tens of thousands of dollars into a car just to prove a point that isn't exactly shocking anyways. If you dumped 50000$ into a smart car you could probably make it run 9s in the 1/4 mile.

Very true.

We are seeing more and more people doing turbos, custom turbo setups, different turbos.
We've got some people getting into swapping heads and doing DOHC.

Of course. But who's in this to make money? If you enjoy doing it, go and dump 50k into a smart car.

True, but most people can't rationalize dumping 50000$ into a car.

Amby, the average person also wouldn't go through the trouble of turbo charging ANY car in the first place...
