well, for a lil' over 20k with 6 spd, you can't go wrong with Acura/Honda, besides, they have the best tranny money can buy

Along with the numerous selection of aftermarket etc. etc.

btw, did they or are there going to be a Spoon RSX? If so, hook me ups with the LINKS! ....or any link with badass RSXes

Unhappy no cash flow

Only if I had enough funds for a badass S2000, that car is the shiznit

I just recently learned it was a RWD, me = n00b... I think it's too pricey though....

I was thinking of pimpin' out a RSX, but now they're growing pretty common - however, the new CL-S is TIGHTASS!!! Oh man after test driving the CL after the RSX, no comparison on speed, luxury, and response (although RSX handles better).

There's no way I can afford a cl-s...Plus it's too big, I like my little tiny sporty cars (yeah I know I'm screwed up, 6'4 and only wants tiny cars) I've never even tried sitting in an S2K, afraid I'd sit in it and be looking above the windshield

If you think that's bad, can you imagine yourself getting into a Miata?

6'4"? You wouldn't like a s2000. Very unconfortable for any tall person.

I think ANTI-LAG on Evo makes it less necessary for car to have 6 speed. It keeps turbo spooled up so there can be more spacing between gears!!! That is what I think.

They're not really cutting costs so much as they are avoiding an unnecessary cost. There are only 2 reasons for a 6 speed in the Evo: marketing and fuel mileage. I don't think the former matters nearly as much as might think it does, while the latter might not hurt.

My 6'2" frame has no problems what so ever with the S2000. Getting in with the top up isn't always fun, but I could say the same about nearly every sports car. The MR2 is pretty comparable, although getting into that seemed a bit harder.

That's what I was getting at.

Many 00-01 S2000 owners have gear grind problems... Many of them
still have it even after numerous warranty repairs...

I would personally take a bulletproof 5 speed over some new 6 speed
anytime... Especially when space is tight, fitting a 6 speed in place
over 5 speed could mean weaker tranny (IMO)...

If done right a 6spd will take up the same space as a 5spd would. Look at the getrag 6spd in the cooper s and the svt focus. The S2K has a north south engine layout just like the STi wrx, which means space isn't really a cancern, they just make the driveshaft shorter The 6spd on a transversly mounted engine is a very different story, the space is limited to the width of the engine bay. Getrag solved the space problem using a dual layshaft design (can read more about it in scc or any good online site). So they don't use it on transversly mounted engines because they'd rather cut costs and tell the consumer it's not needed More gears are always better

Most people that get a S2K can't drive them right. They either shift them like a normal car or beat the crap out of them trying to make them fast. Every thing I've read and seen about the S2K shows to get the most out of it you have drive it like you hate it, which obviously eats gears and clutches.
