If it's your first time building a car and your daily driver, go for a modest power goal that you know will work well.

I'm not saying it isn't possible - hell, anything is possible with a fat enough stack - I just don't know why you would want to start with a GTS.

Yes I can guarantee you that car would not be fun to drive as a daily driver. Your best bet right now is to plan it out. First, before you buy anything power related, decide whether you want to turbo the engine or stay NA. That could determine which parts you start buying now (and what your exhaust diameter should be etc)

As a general rule of thumb for daily drivers- unless you are keen on spending lots of cash on tires and repairs, you shouldn't overpower the front wheels

But... if you have the need and are determined to do something unique or creative, then there you go

Maybe they should put that on the sticker at the dealer..."If you plan to do an AWD conversion...Please ask an associate about the Lancer Evolution."

No offense intended I just find it funny whenever that topic comes up.

Personally if you want to build up the car to push as much horsepower as it can then go right ahead. Just keep in mind of the things you may have to give up seeing as you're modding your daily driver (such as gas mileage, ability to use any octane fuel (presuming you change the compression), and of course ride comfort if you get a stiffer suspension or something like that).
