it only had 5700 miles on it. i checked the carfax of course and there was no flood or anything crazy like that...just a "total loss" declared by the insurance company from that side accident. Beats me...but w/e im happy =]

 

$12k for that!!!! sorry but you just got ripped off, since my 08 only cost $12k clean and no damage.
It's gonna cost between 5-10K just to fix. It should have been no more than maybe 8k.

Hell Fair Blue Book price is $13,415.

And fair includes the following:
# Some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing but is still in reasonable running condition.
# Clean title history, the paint, body and/or interior need work performed by a professional.
# Tires may need to be replaced.
# There may be some repairable rust damage.

Just from the photo i can tell the frame will most likely be bent since it was hit so low at the bottom, C pillar replacement which will require cut and replacement, both doors replaced, front fender replaced, and finally the side impact air bags being replaced. Just from the C Pillar being damaged and the frame being bent it would get a salvage title since its structural and will most likely never hold a proper tire alignment.

I would consider this Poor which they don't give a price on.
Poor states:
* Severe mechanical and/or cosmetic defects and is in poor running condition.
* May have problems that cannot be readily fixed such as a damaged frame or a rusted-through body.
* Branded title (salvage, flood, etc.) or unsubstantiated mileage.

 

i paid $12,000 with it fully fixed! i didnt pay 12,000 with the damage. otherwise i would agree with you and it would be a total ripoff. also the frame was not bent or damaged in any way since it was hit higher (above the side skirt)

Oh my bad, they way you had posted it sounded like you paid that much with the damage, if that is how much you paid after the repairs... then good show!
