Cool emblem history!
Hey, I just heard this, hope it's true. If not, please correct me.
A guy told me that Mitshubishi manfuctured the Japanese Zero (WWII plane, used by Kamikazi fighters) and the logo - is the propeller from the Zero!
I thought that was a pretty cool history.

OOPS nevermind
Okay, nevermind... that's wrong. Guess I should've researched it first. If you want the TRUE history check out http://www.mitsubishichips.com/compa...ry/history.htm
It's actually a combination of two family emblems and "Mitsubishi" means three diamonds. Still interesting. Sorry, not as glamorous as a good 'ol war story!

BMW
The circular style of the emblem does come from an airplane rotor however the blue/white is from the Bavarian flag.
Another interesting fact: If any of you have been to Munich you might have seen this but for those of you who haven't, the BMW headquarters which is right next to the Olympic complex is built to look like a four-cylinder engine! It's pretty cool. If you ever get over there, check it out.
