Hello guys, I dont know much about engine swapping, do u think that I could buy an evo engine and trow that inside my 09 GTS? is it even possible? is it a waste of money? what do you think?

 

waste of money... might as well trade in your lancer for an evo, a used one that is

 

Doesn't make sense in a brand new car...trade it in for an evo if you want an evo.

You can stick the v6 outlander engine in your car. And yeah a 4b11t could fit. But will never be worth the effort or money. Get a ralliart or evo. fwd ftl.

 

^ what he said above, if you have enough money to do a true project, i would swap the AWD system and v6 from the outlander, since essentially from the steering wheel down the outlander and lancer are almost identical

 

All people in here are WRONG u dont need to SWAP ... if you have 4b11(2.oL) all u need is a friend with an evo ... who is changing all his parts ... And either an aftermarket ECU from haltech Or the stock Evo Ecu to be able to reflash !

ALL EVO PARTS FITS BOLT ON .... SAme identic engine ... 4b11 4b11T ...

My build = 08GTS 2.0 4b11 > Evo cams, Evo pistons, evo Knekting Rods & bearings, Evo fuel rail, fuel pump, Evo intercooler piping, Evo turbo manifold, Evo o2housing, Evo ART head stud, <<< ALL that for 1300$ + Haltech Ecu Elite 2500 with Dashkit + STD coilovers + enkei lightweight timeattak rims + fiberglass (hood, fenders Front and rear, side skirts + front and rear bumpers . Tune come from magnus toronto . getting close to 400 WHP (frontwd) at 14 psi (can go to like 20+)

 

are you sure?...there's no way you're pushing close to 400whp out of a 2.0L at 14psi...pretty sure a stock Evo X runs like 20psi,and doesn't even make 300whp... AWD drivetrain loss isn't 50%...
