SRI is a good way to go. I only ever ran SRI's on all my cars. Plus they make hose kits that attach to some SRI's and you can run them to the under side, fender area or where ever to pull in cooler air. Just a thought

get sri. i had a cai...got stuck in a thunderstorm and downpour during the monsoons in az....hit a puddle...sucked water into the engine. 3.5 grand later and a newer ish engine i got the wpn r sri. sounds great, looks great, and same performance

Either one is good for a noise maker and that's pretty much it. Pick something wallet friendly, looks pretty in your engine bay and run with it.

Yea i got the weapon R SRI and will continue to get an SRI for my future evo

It is really just a noise maker however I have the K&N SRI. Apparently good for 7hp according to the dyno sheet that came with it.

Easier install and louder. Good for daily driving throttle response.

Is there any way i could prevent the heat of the heads onto my K&N SRI? Under long driving or hot days, the power loss is very apparent.

Only thing you can really do is get more cold air into the K&N. The heatsheild takes care of alot of it but I got a ralliart intake scoop and cut a hole at the front of the scoop. Might help a bit idk
