More MPG

so i just purchased a 2003 lancer oz rally keep in mind i am coming from the diesel diesel truck world so these engines are a bit new to me even though i know my way around a gas motor. in the diesel world we build a lot of custom parts to fit our needs so im totally down for that here.

so on to my question i dont want to make this thing fast or loud if it becomes faster so be it but not my goal but i dont want loud. this is my wife's and family car. what things can i do to increase mpg intake tunes turbo? any ideas are helpful. and i know all the old school answers of better driving and good maintenance. those are already in place.

\thanks in advance
jim

Well, the Lancer should be getting good gas mileage already. There is no "intake turbo tune" because there is no turbo on the Lancer. Leave the car bone stock, drive it like a normal person would, and see good gas mileage.

I remember getting up to 33mpg with my Lancer. If that is not enough, the Lancer is the wrong car for your needs.

Keep the engine properly maintained. Get good low rolling resistance tires. Keep at proper inflation. Keep off the gas. Up shift early. Etc.

Getting 28-32 in my RA. And I am a terrible hypermiler.

Ok since there are things the op didn't specify and if cost don't matter. Then there are ways to increase mpg. 1 lower wiegt of u and the car in any way possible. Like strip everything off. Change transmission to have more gears. And tune ratios to get maximum efficiency. Change body to most low drag possible. And tail gate a truck. Depends. What you want and if it's worth it. And don't flame me. Cause these ideas aren't practical. But he did say a turbo so might not mean practical

This has to be some of the worst suggestions that I have ever seen.

One is just stupid and the other is just unsafe for the motor.

I have a 03 lancer oz but I feel like I don't get very good gas miles. Maybe because I have a heavy foot though

Hey, as long as you're willing to pay for the extra gas used and any speeding tickets you get, more power to ya...
