Evo 7 wing owners!!!

Did you paint your wing yourself? How much paint did you have to get? Did you get your wing from ebay? Is it easy to install?

No, it will look like ****. Never, ever spray paint anything you put on your car because the colour will not match and it will look like ****. Spray painting interior pieces is OK, but it's a big zero for exterior pieces. It's very hard to get the right finish with canned spray paints and the local body shop will do it 100 times better.

I have the carbon fiber Evo VII wing from www.ceriousperformance.com and the fitmet was beautiful!!! They dont make thier own wings, they have them shipped direct from Japan from a JDM aftermarket company that hand-lays the carbon fiber wing for Evo VII owners as an aftermarket areodynamic accessory. It is very easy to install, took me about 45 minutes from start to finish. Sorry I cant comment on the paint situation, cause I left it Carbon Fiber, but from past experience with spray paint and body shop paint. I would strongly recomend not making this a DIY project because if you mess up the wing, it will just cost you more for a professional to fix the damage done and then to properly execute the finished product. Hope that helped a little bit!!!

Hey, I ordered one from ebay, and it came cracked and they said there was nothing that we could do about it except send it back to the sender and hope they send the money back. Not doin that!!! so i tried to fix it with fiberglass resin and it really wasnt turnin out so i sold it to a kid with a tercel. He bought it with the crack in it and put it on his car unfixed and unpainted. It rained before he fixed it, and now that it is all finished, the water in the wing sloshes around everytime he stops. Sorry for the long post, just wanted to share my story on the evo VII wing.
