Evo 9 - Blue Smoke & oil on spark plugs -Help! [MODS PLEASE MOVE TO EVO GENERAL]
Hello everyone. I'm hoping someone can help me or has had this same problem. Basically right now my evo is blowing blue smoke out the exhaust at idle. And it's running very rough. Will idle at higher rpm, then drop suddenly and sound like it's gonna stop running. Then it'll rev high again. The blue smoke seems to come out more when the rpm's are at a low dip when it sounds like it's gonna die. Then after it's warmed up a bit I just revved it up and it blew a lot of smoke each time. Has a bluish tinge to it which I know is oil.
Also A/F ratio is very sporadic. Really all over the place.
And before I started it up, I made sure oil level was at max, no higher, and emptied out my catch can. Which was oddly very full. Usually I empty it out every 3 oil changes, but this time i had not even done my second oil change yet. I also made sure the lines were clear to the catch can, and i don't have the PCV valve so no worries there as it was removed long time ago. Also when I checked my oil afterwards, it was lower so definitely burning oil.
After I turned it off, I removed the spark plugs. They all looked to be consistent, but before I removed them, I noticed the second cylinder around the spark plug was quite dirtier than the rest. Not sure if that means anything. Also when I removed the spark plugs, about 30min after i turned the car off, the third cylinder had a bit of smoke coming out. And the others did not do that.
Also all the spark plug threads were covered in oil! I attached pics of the spark plugs and how much fluid was in the catch can.
Really hoping someone will know a possible solution!
2006 Evo 9 with about 85000Miles on it
Only possible mods involved done is:
PCV removed - catch can installed
MPF Exhaust Manifold
MPF Intercooler
And Apexi N1 Exhaust
