I just need to get there earlier enough to get a few practice runs in since I've never done it before...

I'm just stating all over the internet people pull this kind of fudging data, including here . . . just look around. People minus their ETA, not me. The thing is . . . no one has the ***** to call them out but me. It doesn't matter if it makes me look like a bad guy.

Ummmm. For comparing eachothers cars, we should not add our reaction times to our ETA's!! The reaction time has nothing to do with the cars 1/4 performance and hence should not be added to the ETA's for posted 1/4 mile times.
just my opinion!!
Thanks

Well 15's seem to be out of reach atleast for me. I ran the same as I did last week but this time did it 6 times in a row. I ran 16.7 3 times and 16.8 twice. Also broke somthing on my exhaust, sounds like ****. I think i also need a new clutch. I did get my 60' times down to 2.3 on 2 runs and 2.4 on the rest so thats a tenth faster. I think that is due to the test pipe. My big problem seems to be the shift from 1st to 2nd gear. It seems to bog down alot more than it should. I am driving to the best of my abbilities and cant get out of the 16.7 range I dont see how stock or nearly stock lancers are running the same time, it makes me want to give up racing all together.

Anyone have the same bog between first and second gear I have tried shifting at all sorts of different rpms. I am wondering if it is a fuel problem or somthing like that. Maybe a problem with the piggy back. Will keep you posted.

the bog is from starting second at 3368(if you shift first at 6200) or lower. torque doesn't kick in til about 3500, a dip at 4k, and then back up again. check the dyno sheets. best is to try and get as close to fuel cut in first. tricky, but best.

The only way I have found it remotely possible to stop the "bog" or engine jerk as I feel it is to let off the gas between shifts. If you keep the accelerator to the floor the car bogs big time. Shift smoothly and release the gas pedal as you push in the clutch and the car does not bog nearly as bad.
I wonder if the car pulls timing or something to avoid detonation when there seems to be an excess of fuel. I don't know much about the science behind it all but I do know that I have complained that it is harder for me to break the tires loose from 1st to second with the PB than before.
Try shifting like that 2002OZ see if it works anybetter.
