New User- 2003 Lancer OZ - 200k maintence
I've had a manual lancer for about a year now. The car is at 205k miles and I'm wondering what specific things do i need to look for/do to the car since it has so many miles? Manual didn't really help since it stopped at 100k or so maintenance. I do regular oil changes along with changing the air filter. Before i bought the vehicle, the previous owner had proof showing that the timing belt has been change along with the water pump, and the pulley. I plan on changing the tranny gear oil with 75w-90 synthetic. Just trying to make sure i'm doing everything I can to make the car last since it is my daily driver and I still have two more years of college.

check the belts for wear and tear, check for any leaks, valve cover, head gaskets, plug and wires. check oil... tranny oil, check and see how it looks, it shd be red colorish. i only had my tans flushed once and im at 111k on odo ... check tires for wear, make sure rims arent cracked cause of age of car. check brakes.. theirs long list cause of age of car, like milage,...
if you just got car, id take it to a mech to do a full inspec if ur not a mech youself... thats what i did on my first car cause it was at 130k and alot of unknowns
