Speedometer Problem

I just installed the reverse indiglo gauges last week . I just noticed last night that when I'm driving and I reach around 55 to 60 mph the speedometer gets stuck and very very slooowly moves up then when I slow down it doesn't move then it drops down to like 40 and decreases normal. What's the problem? Why is the needle getting stuck?

Make sure that the gauge faces are sitting flat.

I thought they were b/c when I put the black border back on it looked like it flattened out. How do you keep it flat then?

there are little holes at the corner of the gauges. Make sure those are pushed over the little mounting tabs.

I had the same problem with mine. I had to trim the inner circle a little. If you trim it use a sharp exacto blade and take your time. Mine only needed a hair of trim. I would check the tabs before you start cutting.

How many tabs are there? Do I need to trim?

There are at least two tabs to each guage but it depends on which ones you bought. You don't need to trim the tabs, you might have to trim the inner circle thats cut out to go over the stock guages. The needles are very sensative. If they touch the guages even just a little bit it will affect them.

The only gauge getting stuck is the speedometer. I would have to trim that right?

Yes, but just the inner circle and just a little at a time until it doesn't touch the needle anymore and the needle moves freely. After you trim the inner circle a little, very gently move the speedo dial to 160 and let it go. It should slowly and evenly go back to zero without any hesitation if it is no longer touching.
