Removing the Headliner

Removing the Headliner
Ok, so I've noticed that most of the things in our cars have pop-tabs to remove them, but what about the oh sh*t handles? I'm trying to get them off so I can re-do my headliner. Are there covers over bolts or how does that work? I got pretty much everything else out but I dont wanna f*ck up anything. Thanks for any help I can get.

i took mine out....pretty easy just trying to get it out of the car is a PITB since it doesnt fit through the door.
Remove the "Oh ****" handles(2 screws per)
Remove your sun visor(2 screws per)
Remove your pillars(middles one need removal of lower pillar and seatbelt)
Remove push tabs in the back
Remove the sun visor clips
Remove dome light(pries open)
Unhook dome light
BE CAREFUL when pulling down, the dome light is taped to the headliner......
I redid mine in black, check out my link in my sig for pics

break them and buy new ones, at least that is what ended up happening to me, theoretically you should be able to take 2 screwdrivers and depress both sides of the clip and it should come out, well i tried that and ended up breaking both of them, but new ones were only like 4 bucks for both.
and for taking out the headlinder itself, i have one word of advice, the dome light wire is run through the insulation on the headliner, and is taped every so often and connected to the roof, just cut the insulation and move the wire to the roof, makes life so much easier. and there are covers on the oh @#$% handles that you can just pop off with a screwdriver. any other questions, fire em at me, i just did all this, waiting for the headliner to put it all back together.
