CAI question

I just installed my injen CAI, for about 2 weeks cause i have been scared to drive through a car wash. so would the filter get flooded with water (thus causing trouble to my engine) from the wash. or is it safe to drive through a car wash.

just keep that guard on there...or get a by-pass valve...either one works

I would say to be safe, just manually wash it. Not only will the car come out cleaner, but if you let the car dry you have absolutely nothing to worry about. I've wondered if anybody with SRI intakes have had problems with the evo hood. If it rains, wouldn't the water be rammed into the intake?

the only time water get sucked in is if the filter is completley submerged. splashes of water wont hurt it.
