Ebay Halo Gauge Help
I was thinking of getting the halo gauges off ebay, but i needed some advice first. My friend bought some halo gauges for his accord, but after taking the needles off and putting it all back together, his needles were all messed up. Like the RPM would be real off and when he speeds up his MPH gauge will slow rise then jump up. My question is Would that happen to if i have to take the needles off to put new gauge faces on?

Don't take the needles off. Just try not to mess them at all. I had a weird problem after putting on the gauge face the speed and gas gauges appeared broken. Turns out the face was rubbing the needles. So a little double-sided tape fixed the problem. Just be careful. I would almost say get it done at a shop.

Ok. Here is the easy way to do it (I speek from exprience).
1. Take the Plastic cover off.
2. Take the pegs that are on the Speedometer and tachometer off, the neddles will drop slightly.
3. With some masking tape and a marker, mark a line to mark where ALL needles are at rest.
4. Pull the needles staight of and avoid accessive turning.
5. Since the little holes used to clip the new gauges are slightly too big, use doulble sided scotch tape and lay the nw faces OVER the old ones.
6. Now put the needles back on and line them up with the marks, be sure not to push them down tight because they might stick and rub the face during driving; leave enough space for a credit card to slide between the needle's base and the face. THIS WILL NOT HINDER THE GAUGE'S ACCURACY, so don't worry about being exact.
7. Run your wires and reassemble the cluster.
8. Hook it back up and your good to go.
If the needles stick, just back the out a little more.
