Turbo Spooling and BOV Sound without Turbo
Ok, I was thinking this while being in my Spanish 4 Class.......but I still need to see if other people had tried
Well, I driving a 03 Lancer ES, with some basic bold-on mods like exhaust, headers, manifold, intake, Piggyback, blah blah blah, and I'm doing pretty good with 190 HP
But the thing is that I want that turbo spool sound that my brother has on his Eclipse, but the thing is that I either steal his turbo, find a way to get enoght money before year 2069 or find a way to mimic the sound.
My brother would beat me up if I steal his turbo, I suck at saving money because more than half is going to be for college next year....so the only way for now is mimic the sound.
At first it was pretty easy to mimic the spooling sound, I bought those "Turbo Whistlers" from eBay, I was astonished by seen that they really worked, making almost the same sound as my brother's Eclipse, but I was still missing the BOV sound, so the thing is.......
How in the world am I gonna be able to make the BOV woosh sound everytime I shift? One way I was thinking was to buy those Electric Superchargers and puting it on my Intake, buy a small BOV and the extra pressure would be then realesed and the woosh sound would be there.
Any kind of ideas of improving this method will be apreciated (putting a speaker near the exhaust doesn't count...)

How is he gonna beat you up if he can't catch you?
And what the hell is this turbo whistle? Is that all it's made for? Mimicing the turbo sound? I hope you didn't spend too much on something so useless.
I've been hearing about A2 having a turbo kit for $2,500. Even with college fees, you should still be able to save enough for it before 2069. Save up $100 a month for a little over 2 years, and before you know it, you'll have the sound, AND the power! Hell yeah!

Off the top of my head:
-Small tank of compressed air.
-1 x solenoid valve connected to the outlet of said tank.
-1 x small limit switch set to activate when you press fully the clutch.
-Wire it up so the valve opens briefly as the limit switch is activated.
-Perhaps connect something to the valve outlet so enhance the sound of air leaving the cylinder.
It won't make the noise when you lift the throttle (otherwise it would empty the air cylinder while you sit at traffic lights) but when you press the clutch fully. It will be a little strange when you engage 1st from neutral, but I think you can have a little by-pass swtich on the steering or something so that you can temporarily disables the system. For example, if you keep your finger on a button (while shifting into 1st) it won't open the valve.
You could also use very high pressures in the cylinder to make it really, really loud.
