Keyless Operation

Has anyone had problems with the F.A.S.T. key?

I can start the ignition and open the trunk just by haveing the key in my pocket, but the doors do not unlock when i touch the handle.

I checked the options in the MMCI, keyless operation is set to both.
Does anyone know of an other setting or trick to unlock the doors?

I have not had a problem with mine. I have noticed that it will not work very well if i try to open the door with one or two fingers versus using all four. I have mine set to open only one door and it works fine for the driver side and passenger side front doors.

I tried standing there holding the handle for about a minute and still nothing. I think i will bring it by the dealer so they can have a look.

I had a problem with the system telling me to confirm key location. Later on found out my wife had the spare key in her bag and she put it in the trunk. I thought the bloody thing was going crazy.

If you grab the handle right in the middle it will not unlock the car until you pull on it. I have noticed that if I grab the handle and move my hand toward the back of the car there is a little cavity in the handle. I believe that is where the sensor is. If I cover that the car unlocks everytime right away.

Give that a try.

for some reason i don't even have to touch the door handle to unlock the door. just walk up to the door and it unlocks. not sure if its supposed to do that, but its pretty cool. i looked in the navi fast key setting and i didnt see that as an option. so uh? idk

You should have to put your hand towards the back of the handle, you can feel a little dip. if that does not work you need to go to the dealer.
