Window Issue-glue

My girlfriends widow on her Lancer came off the track that holds it in place. After pulling off the panal and removing the window I was able to see that the window is held into the track by glue. It doesn't look like there is anything else holding the window in.

I was wondering what type of glue to use on the window when putting the window back in.

I would have though there would an aplication specific glue for this stuff... you think I should try to remove as much as the old glue as possible from the bracket?

possibly.. or you could just use 3M windshield glue. (the stuff that holds windshields in)... My friend just used some on his CF hood to glue some fiberglass on. Worked amazing.

I think he might have gotten it at a lowes or home depot but you could check a autozone or something. they may have it. The stuff he used was black and came in a silicone like tube that you use a silicone gun to squirt it out.

Thanks Mitsuozboi. This is why I love this board. I'll check Autozone this weekend and see what I can find.

I picked up this kind of super glue, I forget the name of it but it was good for indoor and out door surfaces and even glass. It came in two tubes which you had to mix. Worked out great. The window works just fine now. The hardest part was getting the panel back on the door.

Thanks again guys.
