Securing the battery

I'm about to compete in an upcoming autocross. I know that there will be a tech examining my car making sure it doesn't leak and all that. The car should be in great shape. But is the battery secure enough... is it secure enough to race with? Should I need to add anything to the assembly?

Its secure enough that if you flip your car oneday, it still wont fall outta place.

It'll be fine, if you're that concerned you can buy a battery tie-down or a new lightweight battery which comes with a new mounting bracket and a tie-down.

or better yet you can duct tape it down. Plus that will ad some extra silver "bling" to your engine bay

It will pass inspection with no problems. The stock setup holds it in perfectly fine. They just want to make sure you didn't remove the hold-down for weight savings or something.

i am pretty sure that the tie down has to be metal, they specifically state no bungees--which i am sure applies to anything rubber.

my friend and i bent a flat piece of steel, drilled two holes in it, and secured it... no problem with tech!

ive done autocross with my car stock...ive had no tech say anythin to me yet

Yeah, I was a bit worried beforehand but it turns out it was okay. It's in there nice and tight. I forgot to take the hubcaps off though, so they ended up clunking around in my trunk during my run. But yeah, thanks for the help guys!
