is the 20 legal krap? i read places that its only legal on the back windows and the front have to be greater than 28%... might wanna get that checked unless they made you sign a waiver when you got it done saying its illegal and you are aware.

It all depends on state/province regulations. I know here anything at all on driver/passenger door windows is illegal. The back is fine. There are a few shops that do it, but they know it is illegal.

Here are my %'s

Rear - 30% (this is pretty dam dark)
Rear Doors - 20% (This is dark enough for someone to squint their eyes into my car)

This is the illegal part (Only because your not supposed to tint your driver/passenger doors).

Front Doors - 15% (they can see me, but not get a picture of my face )

and I used 3M Tint, i believe its the first manufacturer to be stamped by the "Cancer Association" or something like that. Put it this way, unlike regular tint... you can say that my tint is polarized.

That sounds like your car looks a bit rediculous. 3 different percentages? i guess whatever floats your boat lol, i was a bit iffy about doing 30 fronts with 20 back/read let alone dark fronts, light backs, and a lighter rear. some pics would be nice though cause i actually wonder what the car looks like with diff percentages. If anything im doing mine 30 all around as its the legal limit for the driver/passenger front doors.

sure. ill take some pictures in a little bit. My car is parked down stairs. so there isnt sun which in turn will make all windows dark.

i get off of work in about 2 hours. Ill post pictures then.

Ok, I live in Florida and I got 15% all around. I know, I know it's illegal, but I know the manager of my shop and he told me., if I ever got pulled over or wanted to change my tints, he would do it free. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the Central Florida area who wants to get tinted windows done right. The price is only 169 (including tax) and they do the best job I have ever seen, here is a link to this place.

Well seeing as I do live in Florida where it's blazing on a regular basis, I didn't mind going with 20%. The darker tint also goes with the black panels next to the windows on the sides of the cars, so I liked that too.

just got my windows redone with the felt between the windows. I'm pretty sure he used 3m widow tint. but watever he used has reallygood clarity.... before a Ihad 32 % and it was ok clarity, now I have 20% all around and it feels so clear to be sitting in the car. I love it. BTW I live in NYC.... tint laws say 70%...lol..its practically clear. I hadda go illegal

yeah in this part of canuck land.. back 3 windows you can paint black if you want (so long as you have side mirrors on both sides)

front windows = nothing..

I really don't mind.. the new cars have some tinting in their windows stock already.. so add 5-10% to the back 3 and the fronts look ALOT darker.. which works for me just fine.. as for seeing out the back windows.. I pretty much drive soley with my mirrors as is.. so it doesn't bother me.
