What level of tint should I go with?

I've been saving up some money to get a tint job on my Graphite Gray ES and I was wondering what level of tint I should go with. I've been thinking about going with 20 but also wondering if I should go a bit darker. However I do live in the state of Florida and anything under 15 is pretty much illegal.

I went with 25 all around on my grey es as well. Looks good. Not too light but not too dark as not to be able to see at night.

35 is the max legal limit here in MA.

I've had hatchbacks before and done 10% and 15% ... it's a mistake I'd say to go that dark. At night it's almost impossible to see things when you're backing up in any dark places.

Even with 35 all around in my car, most people think it's darker and can't see inside until you get much closer. Even the state cops like to double check it with their tint meters..

Definitely check your local laws and find out what is legal. Looks like it's 28% front side windows, 15% rear side, and 15% rear.

Personally I'd never go with anything below 25% on any window. Colorado law is 27% all the way around, and I have that on my Impala. It looks good, keeps eyes and sun out but still allows me to see everything around me just fine.

25 all around sounds like a good deal, I think I'll go with that.

Davids2004, do you have any pictures of your car (showing the tint)?

Alright guys, thanks for all the suggestions, I set an appointment for 8:00 AM tomorrow morning . I think I'm going to go with somewhere between 30 and 25 percent.

Honestly that's the optimal percentage to get a good mix of visibility and usefulness. Good luck and post pics!

Alright guys, it's done. He only had 35%, 20%, and 5%. Seeing how 5 was way too dark for my taste and 35 was too light, 20 was ok in my book. And it came out looking great too! Here are some before and afters.

And heres a few more just because.

Sorry for the hellish glare in most of the pictures but the sun shines bright here in Florida.

Looks good. I would only go with 5%. It is a bit harder to see out of at night yes, unless you drive in well lit places. This way people can't see you staring at them ha.

I little dark for my tastes. Might feel different on my silver car, but since it makes your windows darker than your GG car, it just looks off to me. Glad you like it, though!
