OMG Look what I did to my head light

so...I got really bored today so I decided to make a project

BEFORE:

After

This is my first tint job, The tint is 30% and it is very thick to prevent rocks and stuff from scratching it. I believe its the same material as the clear bra.
the squeegieing was the hardest part and is not entirely perfect. the imperfections cannot be seen until closer then close inspection. But I"m a perfectionist so it bothers me lol As soon as I find out if cops give me a problem I"ll redo and make it better. Next is my tail lighs.

Looks good. Ever thought about painting the chrome grill frame? Might look much better with it all black

As of right now it is still ahrd to tell b/c there still water drying up under the tint because I did a crap job on it. Hopefully it will clear. At nite it looks hazy and stuff. I'm gonna put some HID's and see hwo that works.

May I ask how u are doin ur lights? I ordered this smoke spray that u can spray on for my taillights b/c they don't make a tint cutout for it.

Just an additional idea for you! I 've done it to my side markers on my evo and past gti. Go to a hobby shop and pick up model tint spray in a can. It will cost around 5$. Just take the lights out and spray them. Depending on how many coats you do, depends on how dark it is.

^^ I already ordered 2 cans off ebay a week ago. I'm going to do my taillights and side markers. the spray tint is making me a little nervous...I do not want to mess it up and when I do my taillights I wanna make sure both are at the same darkness level. I'm prob going to get some spray caps that spray wide so it will easier.

If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to do so

I'm using a film.. but it's not a tint.. it's a translucent with a bunch of micro holes it in... same thing they use for window signage on like busses and stuff (image on outside, 99% clear from inside)

it's avail in black and silver.. supposed to look painted with the lights off and 99% light pass through when on

I should have a set of HID's in mine by the weekend hopefully, and I'll post a few pics of the differences. Don't think I will go with tint on the headlights, as the cops are VERY bad for little things out here.

I'd also like to know where to get this translucent tint stuff. Is it available online, on ebay, or somewhere local?

I've found the film at Canadian Tire and Walmart... for you yankee folk.. go to a sign shop .. ask for what I described above.. any competent shop keep should know what your talking about and be able to sell you a couple feet for under $10

actually now that I Think about it.. if you go through a sign shop you should be able to get any color you want.

and damnit.. why do I give my individual ideas away
