Question rrm headers overheat?

I just installed my 2002 RRM headers and at first i smelled a burning scent. I then went back over all the bolts, resecured a few on the bottom, but left the heat sheild off. After driving around for 5 minutes i parked and looked at my headers to find the part where all 4 tubes connect to be glowing red....is it overheating or is this natural? thanks guys

check for a vacuum(SP) leak. red hot exhaust means the car is running lean. may have someting to do with your CAI, as the sensor is not metering the correct amount of air.

Yah, I have never seen my RRM header do anything like that. I can rag on it all day and it will be the same color. Accidently touch it and its a different story though lol (I'm a dumbass )
