Racing Tow Hook

I was wondering if any of you have made and installed your own tow hook on the front bumper. I saw something like this on the forums here somewhere, but the link would never work for me. Any of you done this? or can you copy and paste the article for me? Thank you very much.

Basically, you can buy your own hook and fab up the bracket for it or just fab the entire thing. Real basic actually...if you're lucky enough to have a plasma cutter! LOL

Okay well do any of you have pictures of ones that you made? And/or installed? Where is the best location for it to be anchored? Exposed?

front bumper somewhere usually. mounted to frame anywhere really. centrally located would be best I assume. Ive thought about it because My front sits so low you cant get under it to get to the tow hook... and I have had to use it before in winter, never followed through though.

Maybe you could have a hidden one that only comes out when you need it. My dad's Audi has one. Its clipped to the bumper grille and you pull it out when you need it. It's basically a rod with O's at the ends attached to the frame at one point in a way you could slide it back in when not needed.
