they also have rain sensing wipers. both of these features are probably overpriced and definitely unneeded. imo

 

lol i am sure they will invent that wipes our behinds for us too. lol come on we dont need this, you should be driving your car with your fullheadlight system on anyway. safety above all else

 

i want the cf ac controls, shift knob, cf window sills, and projector headlamps!!!!

 

I bet they are a PITA to put in after the fact. Honestly, I feel a bit jipped here... the auto headlights would be nice, and both add to the retained value of the car over time (just as Traction Control would, which I am told comes in the 2nd hal of 09 as an option and is standard for the 10 model).

is the 2.4 going to be standard on the gts? cuz so far it seems that the 2.4 is only in the gts and the ralliart is gettin a 2.0... so when it comes to mods. wheres the 2.4 going to get anything. in this case im thinkin about getting a 08. but my dad likes the 09 (for the crap like traction controll bla bla). wat do you guys think?

as soon as im done with finals and get my damn report card. i have a 2.9 gpa right now. my parents wont get me **** till i get a 3.0 so all this extra credit im doin will hopefully push me there then PARTAY! im gonna go to the dmv n get my License n car.

 

lucky ***, my first car was a 06gt eclipse. and i didnt get 5cents towards it, i was 18 when i bought it. paying 510 a month and 430 a month for insurance. all on my own. I despise being spoiled srry just my opinon. I would have been happy if my parents gave me a 200k pos, I learned from those experiences. and my son will noe the same, he will start off with a pos beater car then if he can afford anything he can do as he pleases

 

The engine in the US Ralliart hasn't been confirmed yet. It's getting the 2.0 in Europe, but there's still the possibility that it'll get the 2.4 in the US.

 

prolly shoulda added, im paying for 90% of the car and 70% of insurance. ive had a yob since 15. ive been saving 100% of my paycheck since then. so no, im not spoiled. my parents might be rich. but i need to earn everything i want. hell i live in the garage, and next year i need to start paying rent.

 

its better to try to pay off your car now while you dont have to pay any other bills. Over the sumer I had a job that paid $10/hour, 40 hour weeks. Saved ALL of that money and used it as a down payment on my lancer. Now im making $8 an hour, anywhere from 20-50 hour weeks, and I always pay my car note with the first check of the month, and my insurance with my second check, and anything left over goes into the bank to save for my turbo. (I also pay my cell phone bill with my second check). If i had to pay rent, cable/phone/internet, or electric bill, I wouldn't be able to get the lancer.

In summery, Get the car ASAP and try to pay it off ASAP before your on your own. (I would actually wait and get a used 08 lancer since the value is going to drop alot once the 09s come out.)

 

at the moment, i can get a new 08 for the same price or cheaper as a used one. SOME PPL WANT 21K FOR THEIR LANCERS WITH 6K MILES!!! i can get a new gts for 18!

 

I dont think you realize that there is an over 3 month wait for ANY gts right now. The reason people are asking 21k is because you will have a hard time finding one period. If you can go right now and get one then just make sure its really a GTS and not an ES dressed up.

I drive by the dealer I bought my car from daily and they have zero 08 lancers on the lot. Still have some 06-07 models though lol.
