Engine paint?

Im looking to paint the cover to the head of my engine, ( head or valve cover? ) cant think of the name of it, but i was wondering what would be the best paint to use? Obvisously i dont want to see cracks or it catch fire or anything so any help is apreciated.

It's the valve cover. If you want a really good looking cover, RRM sells powdercoated units. Alternatively you can use high heat engine paint. I swear there's a how-to on here somewhere.

This is before i painted it. it was originaly completly black but i put blue tape on the letters so the would stand out after its painted ( it looks awsome like this but i cant find any blue that isnt both ugly and dark )

This is of when i first painted it.

and then the after match and installed. ( im thinking of doing the header heat shield black and possibly doing the hand the ugly blue but im up for color idea''s )

ha and then here is half of my home made Heat shield that i made out of the original intake box.... I melted a metal spacer to the shield so it wasnt plastic touching the valve cover. I made the intake shield with a flat head screw driver, blow torch, and a tupleware lid, the bottom to o the shield isnt attached right now but ima melt it to the side tomorrow when i get bored

Maybe paint the intake black, so it'd contrast the vc.
