Anything over 5000k and you do sacrafice light output. I would personally go with 5000 for both fogs and headlights, or 5000 for fogs and 4300 for headlights.

Most stock vehicles have 4300k

The only other problem with HID fogs is when you flash, the highbeams come on (headlights stay on, no problem there..) but the fogs turn off...not healthy for HID... Is there a way to have the fogs stay on when flasing?

Correct about the flashing.. However now with HIDs you cant even do that. Unless you retrofit some bi-xenon projectors.

I flash people like this lol. Gross glare that blinds other drivers. I am only converting my fogs to 5000k until projectors are made or I have time to retrofit.

you should be able to. You just need to make sure you have the turned all the way to the normal headlights on position...

They are 6000k. In the pictures its hard to tell but the focus on the stock assembly is pretty good. I should have taken a shot pointing at wall so you can see the beam pattern. Is very horizontal with a defined cutoff. They are not projectors but its so close to call if they are stock or not; unless you know the car.

There is no "daytime running light fuse" - while the manual calls it that, the DRLs are run through the ECM and cannot be deactivated. So your HIDs are getting DRL-level voltage, causing the strobing. You need to rewire your system if you want the HIDs to work.

Honestly, we've been talking about this for a year. You really should have read a little and you would have found it....
