I sound deadened my car a couple weekends ago using FatMat and just recently added compressed poly-fil under the rear deck lid, and regular poly-fil in the trunk lid.

The whole process took a total of about 10 hours (the right way)....my fingers were so swollen but its for a good cause!

to tell u the truth I put 20 Sq Feet of Dyanamatt in my trunk area cuz I have 2 10's and it still rattles the car a bit. Alot better than it was but it still rattles. With those 2 12 Barics you got its going to rattle the s*** out of it lol....

haha actually it did make a real big difference, especially the compressed poly under the rear deck lid. the reason i did that is because it would "bounce" up and down and hit both the glass and metal under it, creating a very annoying rattle. I suggest using this compressed poly and sliding it under there....it will REALLY help! Now, there is absolutely no rattle i can hear, except on really "bassy" songs, and it comes from the trunk Also, I'm doing my doors today!

FYI, i put about 51 sq ft of fatmat in just doing my trunk and under the back seat!

OMG! I put some foam in my rear Decklid, thats the pastic tray behind the rear seat right? But I shoved some back there and it works great , I have the same problem that u do. My tray still hits the glass a bit on loud songs so sometimes I get a little line on the glass lol....

did deadening the doors make a difference in how they feel when you open and close them? I've been noticing lately that they feel somewhat 'flimsy' compared to the way the rest of the car feels....

nunyas: nope, absolutely not. the door that you probably felt was probably not put on correctly. It is very easy to not notice when you cover up the holes that the plastic tabs are supposed to go into. I did that a few times, but I noticed it and corrected it right away. You cant even tell that there is sound deadening behind the door

erm... maybe "flimsy" was a poor description of what I'm talking about because they are 'sturdy'... nothing flexes and nothing rattles in mine. They just feel less solid than the chassis does. It's as if the doors feel too light for the car..... know what I mean now?

im thinking about doing the same thing but to lowering the road noise. did u notice anything difference in road noise in the cabin?

haha no still dont, my doors feel the same as before the sound deadening

no i didn't hear any less road noise, but then again i dont pay attention to road noise. i love hearing my intake suck in all its air
