I think one could get some good LED light mods (PC stuff even) and rig up under seat, front passenger/driver footwell, glove box, and cup holder lights to one or two switches and a fuse pretty easy really. Nothing 'neon' (agreed, ricey), just something for ambient lighting to go with the dash lighting. Maybe even rig in a dimmer on them. Cheap plastic diffusers can be built easy enough too.

Yea, that could be really tasteful if done right. I was riding in my friends 335i coupe and its got red ambient lighting everywhere. BMW does a really nice job with that, makes the interior very sporty and upscale.

Cool!
Just wondering, what kind of bottles are those? Is that the original design or they've just been squeezed ...

I installed a few Cold Cathodes in my trunk, and they do just that...nothing crazy bright like neon, but also lights up the trunk nicely at night. I will probably be doing it under the front dash soon to see how it looks.
