I think one could get some good LED light mods (PC stuff even) and rig up under seat, front passenger/driver footwell, glove box, and cup holder lights to one or two switches and a fuse pretty easy really. Nothing 'neon' (agreed, ricey), just something for ambient lighting to go with the dash lighting. Maybe even rig in a dimmer on them. Cheap plastic diffusers can be built easy enough too.

okay so im not sure when imma take a crack at this but it maybe tmrw but i bought little red leds and i will be drilling a tinny hole in the bottom of the cupholders and inserting them
when u put water bottles on top of them it will look like tis but in red
i will be putting them on a switch which will be hidden in the middle glove compartment
one of those tinny little switches
will post a how to with pictures when finished

Just wondering, what kind of bottles are those? Is that the original design or they've just been squeezed ...

nice mod. yea, as mentioned before, scion has that as an option for 250bucks. Yea. 250 bucks for 2 LEDs in the cupholder and a couple LEDs next to your feet.
those bottles are effed up though... just wanted to point that out.
