Smoked Tail Lights Illegal?!
i live in florida, and i have my tail lights tinted...
bout 11pm here and im driven , new greddy exhuast, (really loud) ...( might have attracted him to my car?) so im driven and all, and he just drives behind me for 10 minutes. and im thinking... "go for it, follow me all u like. ill drive just fine" so im drivin great, and the lights go on?
so i have to pull into this plaza place (first ever pull over, i was scared, but laughed, just cause i knew a bunch of **** was about to happen) he started talkin bout my tag number and how its expired. which if he looked... 04-09 is when it expires... then hes like is this tint legal? and luckily it is! then hes checkin everything
THEN
"you know those tail lights are tinted. bit dim for your brake lights which is illegal" it really isnt that dim at all, and i can see my brake lights just fine. i had my friend chec this for me and hit em and everything... but idk, is this illegal in florida? do i really need to take them off? or is he just a d*** of a cop?

You need to look through your DMV website. It should have any information on customizing vehicles. Here's a link to the CT one just for an example.

I also think it depends on which state you are at. In MA, i know for sure its illegal, but not too many cops give me **** about it.

Hey where do you live in Florida? Cuz it may be the area or it could be the specific officer. I live in Miami, Fl and these cops wont really stop for that only for loud *** exhaust or windows tinted bellow 9%
