get this one. It's the cheapest and will give you the same performance and sound as any other exhaust on the market:

N1 Catback Exhaust

Here's a sound clip on my old lancer:

If you do want something name brand. We have a few options.

AEM
Greddy
Magnaflow

but like i said, for your car. You are better off getting the N1 exhaust. For the price it's amazing

so where can you buy the n1 exhaust from? i was thinking a greddy exhaust, but i have heard that you have to modify the stock bumper to make it fit. but i want it to sound throaty, but not like a ricer.

I would not do a N1 then, they are super loud, but they do sound like a ricer...I would probly get the Magnaflow set, since you know its gonna sound bad nor, ruin the backpressure, and I can tell you the Ebay N1 is NOT good, I had it on my acura integra GS-R and it sounded sooo crappy even with a correct install, BUT if you do a test pipe and headers it wont sucks probly

sounds good looks good and very easy install... took two hours by myself. it has a deep sound and stays that way. if you want to be loud and proud look for something else. i'll get some pictures up later, but i highly recommend this exhaust. greddy evo 2 not the ti-c

did you have to modify the bumper at all? i was looking at that one but it said that you had to modify the bumper i assume because of the offset tip, but i'm thinking about the greddy ti-c once summer roles around. can't work on my car with 3 feet of snow on the damn ground.

lol yeah that would make it rather hard. to answer your question, No i did not have to mod the bumper at all. i can see why they say to, but it's not required. It actually fits perfect in the notch. The reason they say to mod the bumper is in case it's to close to the bumper for heat reasons. It doesn't touch the bumper so i don't see why you would have to. i wouldn't recommend the ti-c it's load and annoying. i would youtube the "lancer TI-c cat back Exhaust" before buying. do the same with the greddy evo 2. (given you have good speakers) the evo 2 is much deeper and stays that way. now If you want to be noticed becuase of the how much noise you have coming from you exhaust then buy the n1 or ti-c.

i'll get some links to pictures of mine and links for the youtube when i can.
