Annoying sound from left front wheel
Hi, I have a slight sound problem with my left front wheel.
About...5~6 months ago, I changed my brake at a regular mechanic.
He did something wrong and made scratching sound, after checking about 4 times, the sound went away and it was fine.
I'm not sure when it started but whenever I accelerate and brake, there is a weird squishing? some kind of rubbing sound coming out.
I took the car to different shop because i don't think the shop I went to change my break won't help anymore.
The mechanic looked inside my wheels and the rubber.. i think it's called bushing kit? that was out of place. So He changed it with a new one.
I thought the sound was coming because dispositioned bushing thing. But the sound still comes up.
When I brake, go over 40 mph, makes sound. Also, it gets even louder when i'm on the highway like 60~80 mph.
Does anybody have any opinions or ways to solve this issue?
Thanks

What types of brakes did you get? Are they lifetime brakes? What bushings were displaced? Front control arm bushings are pretty infamous on Lancers for going. If I had to guess, i'd say it sounds like something rubbing on your wheel or tire, but if you could give a bit more detail or post pictures that would help a lot.

I will try to get the pictures by tomorrow if possible.
I don't know the brand of the brake, it's just regular rotor and brake pad. I don't know the brands of bushings either.
The mechanic just ordered a part for my car from some parts store or something.
I asked him if i can get my own part but he didn't want it because you know mechanics hate customers with parts right?
anyways, i'll post pics as soon as possible. Thanks

2nd picture is new part on the front left wheel
4th picture is the unchanged because it looked fine, i guess, on the right front wheel.

hmm. the new part looks different than the OEM one..
is that why the problem is not solved yet??
dont you guys think that this mechanic used a universal one??
I also have my car lowered, using Tein springs.

Hm, well those look like generic sway bar end links he used, yeah, but didn't you say he replaced the pads and rotors? Those rotors are rusted in the middle already, when did you have this done? Those don't look new at all? I dunno if that's normal for 6 months, honestly.
When you jack the car up, leave it out of gear and rotate the tire to see if it's rubbing anything. One time my coilover brake line bracket was rubbing my wheel and it made a similar sound, and also I had a mechanic bend the brake dust shield causing it to rub on the rotor intermittently, but yours looks ok...

i got those brake ....about last fall? so it should be about 5~6 months old..
should I change the swaybar endlinks to the OEM? or the ones from autozone?
I don't think it rubs anything but it is really annoying. some of mechanics can't find out where the sound is coming from..
