So I was looking at my car the other day and found two small dents on the hood. They look like hail damage, but we had no hail. And just last week I had found another dent on the passenger side rear pillar. It again looks like hail damage, but we had no hail. Is it just random wear and tear, or are these cars prone to getting dents? I ask this because any other car I owned never got so many dents so soon from possible hail/rocks/debris.

 

My hood has taken a beating and my trunk lid has a few dings in it from rocks going over the top of the car. I did notice the paint to be a little thin in the places where the rocks hit. Almost like there was only one coat of paint before clear. I also have a spot on my hood that went to bare metal and started to rust.

I really just think its normal wear and tear on the car and depends on how fast you're going and how much debris is on the roads you are driving.

 

I have a couple of chips in the paint on my hood as well and one started to rust. Both from trucks on the interstate. I will touch them up myself.

 

I have one chip so far. It's on my read driver side door, happened the day I bought the car! Went down to bare metal, but the dealer was nice enough to fix it for me for free.

 

I have a few dents like that and many chips/scratches.

 

does anybody tried fixing the dents or how much itll cost.. i have a lot of dents in my car and it is irritating to see specially for a fairly new car.

 

all i have to say is stay away from big trucks drivn by old people they have a problem seeing little red cars.....it caused more then a small dent

oh and the paint does kinda suck have small dings already

 

i hate mitsubishi paint jobs.. i have a handful of chips on my hood and on my roof. and for those of you who live up north, be careful when you scratch ice off your car, after just one winter my car had scratches all over it, so I just vinyled my roof and my hood. haha
