Hey, im in the middle of painting my alloy rims but sanding them is really hard does anyone know of something I could buy to put in a Dremel or drill to make its go by a little faster.

I repaired/ painted mine last spring. I also did mine sanded mine by hand after the filler was dried. You can always have them glass beaded... Or if you're just scuffing them I'd suggest doing it by hand. If you take a dremell to them you could end up with low spots. What are you painting them with?

Yeah I bought a sand paper thing for the dremel but it was to hard to keep it even, and it kept digging down in spots and spun way to fast. But Yesterday on my way home I picked up some Scotch Brite heavy duty pads and scuffed them up with that. Do you think that would be enough? The paint im using is from pep boys and its mad for wheels, and its black paint.

If its a rattle can, id spraying them, the. Seeing if there's a paint shop around or powder coating shop that has an oven you can cure them in before you clear. Then when you do clear them do as many coats as you can. I didn't bake mine and after a month they started chipping heavily

Should have plasti dip'd em. My rims took 4 cans and 2 hours to do, they are coming up on a year and still look just as good as when I sprayed them.
Yours did turn out well though.
