Crankshaft pulley bolt

I hope I'm not annoying people with all my questions...

Alright so I'm changing my timing belt and I've been stuck on the crankshaft pulley bolt. I don't really have any special tools. Just the basics.

I'm trying my best to loosen the bolt but I can't get it to budge. I have no air powered tools or breaker bars. Pretty much my first time doing this. I have heard of clicking the engine on while jamming a breaker bar but I want to avoid that option.

I'm looking for some tips. Any help will go a long way.

get a large flat pry bar and your going to need to wedge it inbetween the flywheel and the bellhousing to make the crankshaft pulley stay in place. You may have to hold on to the pry bar at the same time your pushing down on the wrench to prevent it from coming loose when breaking the bolt.

put the car in gear and have a friend hold the brake pedal in while you crank the bolt loose.
