Speedometer stepper motors?
My speedometer gets stuck between 55-60 mph while I'm driving, hit a bump and the needle goes where it's supposed to. I've ruled out the speed sensors since I ran live data from my OBD2 and the speed coming from the ECU is correct. (Also because the input and output were both replaced with OEM parts.)
I've searched high and low for a solution only to find out that it could very well be the stepper motor for the speedometer... a rather simple fix... a little bit of soldering...
But, I can't seem to find out where to buy the stepper motors. Does anyone have a part number or website I could buy them from? Or would it be best to buy a cluster gauge and take the stepper motor off of it? Replacing the whole gauge is out of the question seeing as if you'd have to get it programmed by a dealer to match your mileage. (Add another 400+ dollars for that.)
Any help would be much appreciated...
