How to: Install Evolution X MR spoiler
Hello and welcome to another one of my how to's. Today I will be installing my Evolution X MR spoiler.
Tools Required:
10mm socket wrench
Razor blade
Silicon
Drill + Drill bit
1st you will have to remove the GTS spoiler with the 10mm socket wrench.
2ed You will have to lift up as hard as you can, and cut the double-sided tape with a razor blade
3ed. You will now notice that your car has no spoiler.
4th You will also notice that once you have the spoiler off that there is still glue from the foam gasket left on the hood. Take the razor blade and scrape it off.
5th. Now you will notice a 3ed hole in the trunk. This is where a white tab from the GTS spoiler. You do not need this so fill it in with silicone.
6th. Now you will have to make your own gaskets. I was trying to order them but I never recieved them so I went to AA and bought something that was somewhat thin and waterproof.
7th. You will now have to place the gasket on the spoiler. I used silicon to place it on the spoiler.
8th. Now you are ready to drill. You will see a spot to drill your hole on the bottom of the trunk (when it is open.) It is a little punch hole. Drill
9th Now you are ready to install the spoiler. Place the spoiler in the pre drilled GTS holes and bolt them into place. Next Bolt the other hole. I did not use the 3ed hole in the spoiler. Just did not seem necessary.
10th. Use your silicon to cover the bolts so they do not leak. Also silicon the hole from the GTS spoiler that is not used
Congrats you have now installed your new spoiler.
I really hope this helps you guys, if you decide to go for this spoiler

For anyone else looking to do this (swapping GTS style wing for EVO X style wing)
Go Here:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2008-2009-201...item25771ed718
I bought one, free shipping, came 100% painted in the stock colours, and the best replica I've seen yet. MUCH more cost effective.
It also uses the GTS spoiler bolt holes, so no need to drill!
