Alright so I bought a 02 Lancer last month and it has 128k miles people say this car is the weakest link but I love this little lancer:

Here's everything that I will be doing to it the stuff checked is the things I already have (prices are included) :


Performance Modifications:

K&N Typhoon air-intake: 200.00✅
SRS Catback Exhaust: 180.00✅
Motor Mounts: 190.00
Transmission Swap: 1,500.00
NGK Spark Plugs: 28.00✅

Reflash/Performance ECU: 350.00
Piggy back ECU: 300.00

Where did you get the ecu flashed I'm in the Allentown pa area and want to do the same

I didn't get the ECU reflashed it wouldn't give you to much gain . You gotta get a evo 8 ECU.

Why would you get an ECU reflash and a piggyback ECU? Pick one or the other. Your current HP number is also wrong. Didn't Lancers come stock with 120 HP and 130 ft-lbs of torque?

This is just ideas I right down and eventually will do. But instead of red lashing or piggy back I am getting a evo 8 ecu

If I get an evo 7/8 ecu can you just swap them out or do you need to do other things as well

Ecu

Just flash a evo rom on your ecu. Check out some of tephras posts it's pretty easy and you won't have to buy an evo ecu

If you have a manual transmission, you can just flash any evo ROM on your ecu. There wouldn't be a need to swap the ECU. The Tephra roms are modified evo roms, giving you a lot more options from the XML. I'm currently running an Evo Rom in my turbo lancer as well as a decent amount of the people on the forum. If you do a google search for Tephra roms, do some reading and you can download them for free.
