Pre-fab lower front grille inserts

Grille-Tech on ebay has made a lancer application. They have two different styles of mesh. Cost is only $49, not too bad. I bought a grille set from them for my friends Dodge Dakota, they make good products. The mesh is well-fitted, and the edges are plastic-coated so as not to scratch. Judging on thier product for my friend's Dakota, I would recomend this grille insert if you plan on replacing the lower grilles.

[EDIT]: whoops, forgot the link:

Ah, you may have just cost me money, gotten me a Christmas present and saved me a headache all at the same time. I'm a lazy, lazy man.

Hmmm the only thing is the auction is only for the center insert... they have the sides too, on thier site.

http://www.grille-tech.com/detail.html?prodid=136

[EDIT]: on the site, the center piece is $59 and the side inserts are $34... so $93 alltogether.

I agree the price is a little up there, but this is no gutter guard... this is really high quality stuff. It is thicker than your average mesh, PLUS you can get it powder-coated black. I'm going to email Grille-Tech and see if I can get them to post a group buy here.

[EDIT]: that was my 100th post! ::fanfare::

Preeeecisely. I'd rather not take my bumper off. I know I can work with the mesh from under the car or through the headlights so that'd really make things easier.

See above post about me being lazy.

It's a quick, clean, removable and replaceable solution and requires nothing but turning my wrists.

Good news Hobie...

This is the email reply I recieved:
Email from www.grille-tech.com

Hello ReIncarnate

Thanks for the endorsement on the forum. We do plan on posting group buys on evolutionm.net in the future. We have to sign up and pay to advertise on evom.net.

Below is info from evom.net:

We do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below:
Forum Rules
The following rules apply to all members of evolutionm.net. They are instated to ensure a well-run board and to embrace meaningful discussions related to the Mitsubishi Lancer:
No vendor advertising unless registered with our site. For advertising information please click here.

We are in contact with evom.net and will be a sponsor of one of the USlancer forums. We will have a group buy for all three pieces for all styles and colors for $69.00 shipped to the US lower 48. If you would like, you can post that they can go through ebay and pay a total of $70.00 if they win the auction for the starting bid. $29.00 for the center grille and after the auction ends they can purchase the sides for $29.00. Add the $12.00 shipping and handling and it works out to be $70.00.

Thank You
Chris Driver

When we get that group buy at $70 i think i am in for sure. Just let me know what I have to do and i will do it. I have wanted to get rid of those pieces of plastic for a while but didn't want to create a mesh screen myself for fear of it looking ghetto.
Just wondering which do you like better the diamond or the racing style. I kinda like the racing style in silver but will have to think about it.
