Yea I hear ya. When I put my stock OZ rims with the 185/60/r15 next to my 205/40/r17's, they are just about the same size. I think the 205/45/r17 would make it a hair bigger. My gf has the 45 series tire and they look hella big.. but then again my car is lowered with Eibach springs.. everything fits EXACTLY PERFECT with NO rubbing. =D I love it. Better handling than a 45 series tire too.

Definitely 205 40 17....35 not good with hotholes and ='s rough'r ride. 215's would rub on mine, and most others with lower spring setup.

eh? stock wheel size for OZ's is 185/60/15? I thought it was 195/60/15?

ahh....it doesn't really matter, I see now why you guys say to go with 205/40/17's now. To avoid rubbing.

i found out the best fit consist of 18 x 8 rims with 225/40 tires and lowered 1.5rear, 1.3 front

but for 17's....the best fit is 17 x 7.5 with 225/35 tires with the same drop.

17 x 7 with 215/45R17. rubbed the first few times outta the drive way, otherwise rubbing with people in the back seat, stiffer suspension would prevent that tho...

I dunno, I'm just going by the tire calculator, and I think the closet for the OZ if yer running 17's is ummm....let's see.....205/45/17.
I'm going by experience. I decided to go with Nitto Neo-Gens on my 17's. It's better than my stock wheels with 215/60/15 some economy kumho tires. I mean they did clear the wheel gap with nothing but rubber.

My new wheels feel much lighter than my stock ones.
