Question Best tire size?

Say you have a 17 inch wheel on a 03 lancer. What size wheel do you want so that it fits in the wheel well nice but isnt a rubber band.

^really?.... I figure that would be alright for an ES but not the OZ.

I dunno, I'm just going by the tire calculator, and I think the closet for the OZ if yer running 17's is ummm....let's see.....205/45/17.

215/45R17 is what i run. i get rubbing at a full wheel turn. ( meaning wheel cranked all the way. ) otherwise none at all.

205-40-17 or 215-40-17

Well,
the factory wheel is 185-60-15
to keep the wheel size the same. meaning outside Diameter. Which is what your speedometer, and odometer are looking at for accurate calculations you use the +1 +2 calculation.
so adding 2 inches to your Rim, gives you a 17" rim . so add your 2" inches and move up the tire size that keep your "OVERALL" wheel diamter as close to factory as possible. Otherwise expect your speedo to be off and get pulled over possibly.
