I am thinking about getting this exhaust tip pictured welded on to my stock muffler......mainly just so that it looks good. I have an ES so I don't even have a nice chrome tip like the OZ models do. I am also not worried about performance since this car will never be fast short of forced induction.

And yes, I will be trimming the opening so that it matched the size and shape of the tip perfectly.

What do you all think?????????

took the words right out of my mouth but that muffler tip is borderline rice. cuz it's just for looks. but i've seen 1 other lancer on here with it.. it looked pretty decent... its your car so do what you desire... just dont eat 2 much rice now

 

I just want a decent looking tip on there instead of the stock black peashooter thing. Yes, it is for looks because this car is slower than **** and I refuse to have a louder-than-stock exhaust on there..........

If the "modification" doesnt help with the performance of the vehicle then its rice.

 

So if I got a loud muffler that added .5 hp with the same tips that would NOT be rice????????

Just get something like that, a lot less work fitting it.

 

I dont think it looks that bad, and beleive me i am not a fan of rice, but i think it looks ok as long as it doesnt make it sound much different, so i think it looks good as long as your not making your car sound worse

 

Everyone and their cousin has that look.
