Looks a bit too silvery, and I would have used just I layer of mesh. But not bad - especially since the money saved could be used for something else.

i knew a kid who did the whole chicken wire thing as a make-shift grill. i'd leave it open. eh, it's all IMO

There's way better mesh out there than that stuff you're using, like gutter mesh, much better weave.

Unless you're going to keep poultry in there, I'd keep the chicken wire on the chicken coops.

For being creative and trying it. For the look. It's not the best looking grill. IMO the stock grill looks good as long as the whole thing is painted black.

Thanks for all the input, but I didn't pay anything for the material, it was free, and from a distance it looks fine. Just a temporary change until I get the VIS hood with grill.
