First time PICS...Thunder Gray 04 ES

mods in sig

i'm trying to look for a very clean and streamlined look. nothing ricey or flashy. this is just a start

in a couple of weeks I'll have the GTV2 side skirts. currently, i feel as if the side of this car is naked without any side skirts at all. thinking about the rrm front lip after, but concerned about it not being level with the skirts. pics are with the stock ES Tails. i'm still looking for someone who is willing to trade with me for RA tails.

i went with the honda S2000 antenna, i think it looks much better than ours, and it only cost me $28 at the honda dealership

i like the look of your car. Did you black out the headlights yourself??

I want to do this but i can't make myself bake the headlights

yes, i baked them. make sure you open your windows if you ever do. i rebaked them when sealing them and boy did my house smell like the silicone glue for awhile, lol. i used 3 coats primer, and 3 coats flat black. that was about it. not much hard work, just a lot of time needed. you should have seen the look on my dad's face when he asked me what i'm baking and i answered "my headlights". haha...

also, if i can't find anyone who wants to trade for RA tails, then within the next few days I'm going to black out these ES tails. i think it will be the first of it's kind.

Very clean! Good wheel choice too. Nice touch with the flat black mitsu emblem to match the headlights. Do you plan on blacking out the rear emblem as well?

thanks. I'm thinking about smoking a few other parts as well...side indicators, tails, rear emblem. i might have my rims powdercoated black one of these days, but i'm satisfied with the look of them right now.

btw, here is my thread in the for sale forum if anyone wants to trade their '04 RA tails for my ES tails...

Nice Ride, just wondering where you got your RA spoiler and was it the same color as your car or did you get it painted. Also how did you mount it? I have one but its yellow and i dont think that it would look good with a red car...lol. And hey good luck in you quest for RA tails. Ask the Yellow Lancer guys they seem to like the look of the Es tails on there cars instead of the RA ones, thats how i got mine.

great, thanks for the comments. regarding the RA spoiler...i bought it off of a very reputable ebay seller who also painted it as well. i think it went for around 140 shipped about a year ago. the sellers name is "exotictruck-auto". good service, just takes about a week to have it shipped out to you. I installed it myself using the templates and bolts they supplied. you just have to muster up the willingness to drill four small holes in your trunk. i recommend getting your spoiler painted to match...my guess is maybe about 100 painted? also, you should save on install labor by fitting it, removing it, then having it painted.
