Lancer2oo3: I would go with what ambystom01 said, just get them to use the brackets from your old muffler. I hope you werent planning on installing this yourself. While you are there, just get them to run all new pipe for you, and remembe that too big of a pipe and you lose backpressure. unless you are getting a turbo in there in then next week, you are going to regret it. be sure to shop around for the best prices, pretty much, pipe is pipe and unless you get a n00b doing the welding, its all pretty much the same. im sure you could get all new pipe from the 2nd cat back and muffler installed for less than 80 bucks. you can always haggle them down. tell them if they give you a better price, youll be sure to remember them the next time you need them to lay the pipe. . . i mean do some exhaust work.

A word of warning, muffler shops love to screw with people who are welding on huge cans onto their cars. When I got my exhaust installed we started talking and apparently the shop charged some ricer boy 100$ to weld his muffler on, and he was glad to pay it.

The shops usually weld new hanger bars and use the stock rubber hangers. If not, they will weld on new ones (cheap.)
.02c = Have a shop that is ran by hispanics do the work. They do the work well, and are cheaper than other shots.
In my experiences w/ white guys running exhaust shops, they are either tweakers, or just plain over priced bastards.
Please nobody take this as a racist remark, and hijack the thread. This is based on pure experience.

^ i hate to say it but from all the experiance ive had he's right. At least in Cali the shops run by hispanics seem to get stuff done quickly and at decent cost and every shop ive been to run by a caucasian has taken longer and cost more . . . no clue why that is but oh well. Post up some pics when you get that muffler on there . . i wanna see if it fits

+1....you should have gotten something else, but a muffler shop can fix your problem. Reduse the piping to 2.25 for best results. If you do that...you'll still have some back-pressure left.
