how did you get the passenger side engine mount to work.

I was seriously thinking about this swap and noticed the G94 pass. side engine mount was different than the g64

pics of the mounts would be EXTREMELY appreciated

what makes this swap worth the $ vs. just building on a 4g94? i understand you said 20 hp 20 tourqe.... but can you give us a bit more details? is that a v6??(stratus is a big car) is there room to boost?

actually...its 30HP gain on the engine swap alone. as far as cost effectiveness...WHERE DO I BEGIN?!? the engine is CHEAP to buy ($450), thats a little over the price of a header that only gives you, what, like 18hp?...on top of that...you can find ALOT more companies support the aftermarket mods for the G64 than the G94...so if you plan on "building" a G94...ur gonna run outta options REALLY fast and no, it's not a v6...the 2.4L is a 4 banger (the SE and SXT STratus come with the 4G64-yea, I know). Not ot mention that with the G64 you can use a host of parts from the 1st and 2nd Gen Eclipse GST/X!!! I am currently designing a turbo set up using the 2nd Gen GST and all for less than $700!!! yea, a turbo for less than a piggy back ecu and a header!!! the possibilties almost seem endless. Not to mention the fact that you can mate a 4G64 bottom with the 4G63 head!!! (another plan of mine)

I'll post pis of the mounts when i get my camera back.

as for the kit...its from extreme dimensions http://www.extremedimensions.com (sponsor)

nice. the combos with the engine should be a topic of a thread you should make when you get more info. sounds like it would be a decent swap especially with some know how of what works with it.

yea as said the real gains come with this swap once you get the G63 head on there, it can indeed be done (check club3gforums.com) - however that said, it is alot of work

also any manifold made for the dsm/evo should bolt right up

well worth while swap IMO

Yes, you can bolt on an Evo head, but it seems like a very roundaboutway of doing it. The block has to be pulled and machined some to fit the Evo head. You are also going to want to change out the internals if you are going to run any kind of siginificant boost, other wise it would be a waste, IMO. So why go to the trouble of installing a 2.4, just to pull it and build and swap heads? Why not just swap in a EVO 4G63T to begin with? I understand the allure of having a bigger displacement turbo engine, but it would cost more to go about it this way.

However, doing a budget turbo kit on a 2.4L with around 7psi nets around 220-240whp, so that swap path makes perfect sense if that is the end goal.

the reason why im asking is because before i go on with building this 4g94... i could continue to part out some stuff and do this motor swap and do some 1st time research along with you. I got some brand new forged pistons already (10 compression though.....maybe a different head gasket will set me up for a turbo in the future.) Im seriously thinking about this swap (need a 2nd job for this lolol... and i might just take my 4g94 turbo off this weekend!). if the hp was like another 50hp it would be a no brainer to me.. but judging on what u said even though its ony 30hp more... this seems better than steroiding a 4g94 basicly the engine swap alone ='s i can **** off ralliarts hit me up on aim s/n "doncorleyone"

I thought the 4g64 was the same engine in the 4 banger eclipses? I have a buddy that had one (wrecked now). We raced a few times just for the heck of it ans I never beat his completly stock automatic eclipse.

It came in a whole bunch of cars. Galants, Eclipses, Outlanders, Strati/Stratuses and Sebrings.
