Installing Seibon hood
For those that have a Seibon CF hood, how did you install the grill? Did you just use a power drill or was there a fancy method? Also did the washer nozzles just pop right in? I just picked up a Seibon evo style hood and I was hoping to install it soon, so any advice would be much appreciated.

You may notice indents on the grill area. Those are very close to where you need to drill. I put the grill in there without the mesh in. lined it up best I could. Marked the holes then drilled them out.
As for the washer nozzles. They dont fit. Because it was late and I wasnt thinking I cut up my nozzles to make them fit but I could have easily made the hole a little bigger. The holes are actually deeper then the stock hood and a lot narrower.
Its a great hood. At high speeds it does shake up and down a tiny tiny bit but nothing that scares me into getting pins. If your in the sun a lot it will yellow quickly. Ive only had mine for this summer and its allready yellowed but thats expected I guess.
Also. My hood didnt sit as foward as I would like it to. Its good enouph to where im not taking it off to make the holes that atach to the hinges bigger but You may want to do that.

same size as the bolts for the grill.. lol. I dont remember what it is to tell you the truth. Another thing, you may want to pick up some kinda metal straps to hold the washer hoses. I think I took 1/2" metal single hole straps and painted them black. Then screwed them into the holes where the fiberglass water shield goes.it holds them up off the engine and doesnt look bad at all.
Keep it waxed and dont follow trucks to close, especially in winter...If my clear ever gets dinged im gonna go ape $h!t. lol. Post pics when you have it on, I wanna see it on silver.

Can you post a pic of this washer hose thing, the idea sounds really good but I can't quite visualize it. Once I get it on I'll post pics, I have a dark grey car, but I think it'll look pretty good.

when i installed my hood i couldnt get the washer nozzles to snap on tightly. my friend with a 3000gt had LED washer nozzles on his car and he told me to get them b/c they just slip in and u tighten them from under the hood with a bolt. i bought them and cut the wires. no i wasnt tempted to connect them. hehe. i decided to remove them any ways b/c they were silver and stood out a lot.

Yeah I was probably just gonna go pick up some normal washer nozzles from Canadian Tire and use those. I'm thinking that during the winter I'll put my stock hood back on cause the winters here are crazy and most of my driving is highway driving.
