i DO have full coverage on my car, but they will jack my rate up hardcore if i call them. right now my rate is set to go DOWN to like $1500 from $2700. not sure why it was so high in the first place. next month the payment is supposed to be going down, so f'ed if i'm going to stop that.

i'll eat the cost and keep my eyes open when driving. right now i am repainting my stock grille and it's coming out pretty good. i was sanding it down for hours last night removing all the nasty old paint i'd put on there. if i get bored today i might put on my RRM headers i have sitting in the kitchen... YEAAAH!

your rates won't go up that much. I wasn't gonna make a claim on mine, but i talked to the claims guy and he said unless you get a ticket or someone is seriously injured, your rates won't go up, and if they do, it will only be tiny, like maybe an extra $10 a month or something.

Just do what i did, i got the guy to give me an estimate, progressive cut me a check, i bought all the parts on here for cheap, then i just gotta get a shop to paint em. I'm actually gonna have money left over. He estimated the repairs at over $1000. Here is what im paying:

$200 - CF Evo Hood
$100- JDM Ralliart Grill (silver)
$380- Have front bumper re-sprayed and custom paint job on the hood
Total $680

I got a check for $755 from Progressive. So that leaves me $75 to go towards my coilovers

seibon hood all the way, but be ready to fiddle with things to get the grille on. Nasty luck on the grille, it was beautiful. Just an idea on lights:

Hope everything turns out better than before, but I agree with your insurance theory.

Just another bad example of a bad MA driver in front of you. Sorry to hear man. Good that you're okay, but sucks about the grill. I say you talk to lancerman360 about things. He seems to have pretty good knowledge on how to make his ride stand out. Maybe he can help you.

AHH! CEDIAS! i want!

i already placed my order with RRM, so hopefully i should have my parts soon. brian said they'd probably be able to get the lights out for me tomorrow, and then there's a little delay on the hood, but they will get it to me ASAP.

looks like minimum i'll be driving around with a jacked up lancer for maybe two weeks. i hope around then i will get the hood in. i finished painting my stock grille, so it looks good and is ready to go. i might just take a hammer to the hood and get it so i can get the new headlights in and the old grille on. it's already screwed up, so what are a few blows from a hammer?

i also put on my RRM header today, too. the install was a lot easier than i was thinking it would be. the hardest part was/is getting the 2nd O2 sensor out. that damn thing won't budge! it got dark out and i just said screw it. if the light comes on, it comes on. the rest of the install was a piece of cake. even the nut from hell came out without much of a struggle thanks to pulling on the cover there behind the timing belt cover. a ratcheting wrench helped me out here BIG TIME. i am kind of kicking myself for quitting my job at the oil change place BEFORE i got to put the header on. being in a pit would have made things SO much easier when it comes to this second O2 sensor.

i'm hoping to actually get a hood like yours, benslancer. only carbon fiber instead of in need of some Y01.

otherwise it will be like mitsuozboi's... which still is pretty good looking!

yeh. the VII style with the intake vent is what I really wanted.. I think VIS makes it but then you get the grill they send with it and VIS isnt as good as seibon, from my experience.

haha, that's what i told the cop. i was like "i ought to just get a truck so someone else is sliding under ME!"

i couldn't stand to drive a hummer though. well, i do like the H1s, but it's just too unnecessarily large and gas-guzzling. if i want to **** through gas i'll get an evo/WRX and boost all the time. that's the plan for when i can afford it.
